General Privacy Policy

At Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de Rincón, our mission is to fulfill our clients' wishes. As a financial institution, you have confided in us with sensitive financial information; we respect the privacy of our clients and are committed to treat it responsibly. The Privacy Principles in Our Clients' Information serve as a policy for all Cooperativa employees when it comes to collecting, using, retaining and insuring the individual information of each client.

At Cooperativa we firmly believe in the confidentiality and protection of our clients' information and we recognize it as one of our more fundamental responsibilities. Although the information is crucial for providing quality service, we recognize our clients' trust as one of our most valued assets and their right to expect the privacy and security of that information. The Cooperativa will adhere to strict confidentiality standards to safeguard their information and ensure it remains private and protected at all times.

The Cooperativa does not share our clients' private information with institutions or external entities, unless (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; (3) the information is provided to a respectable credit agency; or (4) the disclosure is permitted or required by law (subpoena, fraudulent investigations, required by Cooperativa regulators, legal counselors, among others). As an exception, and as permitted by law, we could provide information to companies who provide a product or service that may be of benefit to our clients. When we do provide such information, it will only be enough to fulfill the purposes aforementioned. Also, we require of said companies, through a contract, to maintain strict confidentiality of the information and limit its use exclusively towards the purposes for which it was provided.

We will not use or share - interally or externally - medical information that is personally identifiable for no purpose other than a client's policy claim, according to what the client is informed when the information is obtained.

Likewise, Cooperativa will not provide information that is personal or regarding your account in our institution to other entities for purposes such as independent telemarketing, or direct marketing by mail for products or non-financial services that they may offer.
